Opening windows with car keys

Hey everyone

When you hold the unlock button on the car keys, the windows will open on there own.
But you have to hold the button down the entire time.

Does anyone know if you can configure something to say press and hold for 3 seconds and they open by themselves?

Nope it's only possible by holding

It's done this way on purpose to prevent opening the windows by mistake

It's a good little trick for airing out the car before you get in. Not great if a dirty great big fat pigeon has done his business on your window though

Haha! I can imagine

I find it a great idea but when im rushing into a shop, i get out and hold the button down but it takes so long i have to stop and wait for it to close..

Solution to that 'problem' could be whilst you are opening the door to get out, pull the window switches up. Works without the key for a few seconds and then by the time you've got out more than likely the window will automatically already be up or almost up.
It causes no inconvenience really as you'll be pushing the door open anyway..

Yeahh i'll give that a try from now on.
Never had a car with the auto window open facility so is strange getting used to it

Can't be done with vagcom I have tried this on various vw's with no success

You can buy a module and fit it to to the window regulator wiring in the drivers door so it works off 3 clicks.

I fitted one to my old mk4 golf, as that only had roll up/down from the key. Wouldn't bother with the polo though, just keep the button pressed
