Hi All,
Has anyone carried out a cambelt change on a 1.4Tdi before? I've trawled the web in an attempt to find a decent DIY with very little luck so any guidance (Do's & Don'ts) would be greatly appreciated!
Any specific 6n2 1.4TDi Timing belt DIY's?

Use the workshop manual I sent you over the other day - covers it in great detail.

A standard 6N2 haynes manual will assist with some parts
Don't drop the engine too low is a point to remember, and don't raise it too high. Also you need to triple check everything is lined up and that the cam is at TDC before removing the belt, and before refitting the belt
Make sure you also change the water pump as the impellers are prone to breaking into pieces.

Cheers mate, did you say you had carried out the task? did you use an engine hoist? I found several articles suggesting jacking the engine just enough to remove one of the engine mounts?

Done 5 or 6 6n2 Cambelt and water pump changes now
You don't need a hoist - it can be done by jacking up gently on the sump plate with a block of wood
