Amount to refuel display

Post by calvinw1 »

Hi, seen so many threads with the amount to refuel showing on the MFD, in litres.
I've had this on for ages but for some reason it goes up in numbers from 1 to 8, so i can only presume it's in gallons at the minute. Anyone know how to change this? Had a look around with VCDS, couldn't find anything.

Thanks

Maybe I'm missing the point, but instead of "litres of fuel left" I think that VAG warn you when the range has dropped to 50 kilometres, ie roughly 32 miles, as that is more relevant than "warning 5 litres left", it used to be that for most cars, a 5 litre " reserve" capacity existed, though if I'm correct, VAG's current thinking when the car has a fuel computer fitted, of warning of "range left" is more useful.

I have it on my Polo BlueGT aswell. I shows how much fuel you can put in the tank at that moment.

When it's in litres it shows in 5 litre intervals... 5, 10, 15 and so forth.

My guess is that you need full MFD lik in the picture. The GTI and BlueGT has that.

Martin, yeah that's the one! Except I don't have the same cluster as you, it shows a fuel pump icon, definitely in gallons. Was yours set to litres as default?

Yes. But that's because I live in Denmark where we use KM and litres insted of Miles and Gallons. :)
