Warranty queries.

Hi

Im looking to get a RCD510 DAB for christmas and naturally choosing to go down the ebay road.

I have found some on there from people who have upgraded to the RNS so are selling the RCD

My question is, if it has come out of a 63 plate car, does it come with a warranty?

Not too sure about the warranty, however I'm selling an RCD 510, but it doesn't have the DAB function if your interested?

Just found out that the VW Warranty relates to the car not the units themselves.

Sadly ill have to pass as i really want DAB, i have FM at the moment and want more of a variety

Okay no worries! I'm sure you'll have no issues with the unit anyway, I haven't heard of them dying!

Probably won't have warranty as if you took it back to the garage they'd be able to tell it isn't from the car. Still its quite a cheap upgrade and less than it would cost from the factory!

I asked at the dealership before I bought my rcd 510 and they said, if the car goes wrong because of a radio that isn't brand new (from the dealership) then it's not covered. But anything else is still covered. And obviously the won't cover any faults in the second hand radio.
