Detailing the beaut - advice please

Post by helloimjammie »

Hey guys and girls

Wanting to get some products in the new year to start detailing my car.

I've just got a pressure washer and I'm going to get some autobrite magifoam to snow foam the car!

Just wanted some help getting the other products I.e wash mitt, polish, wax, shampoo, wheel cleaner and any other bits people can think I'll need

it's gloss white so will need some good tar/glue remover!

Also any recommendations for polish and wax?

And last but not least how often should I wax it? As I'm hoping to clean it once a week, what's best practice?

Any help will be appreciated

Thanks guys!

Once you have done a full detail (wash, de-tar and fallout, clay bar, paint correction (if needed), wax) then the wax should last for a few months if you wash with shampoo every week like you say your going to. Auto glym's range is great stuff and easy to use. Have a look at detailing world website for more washing and detailing procedures. That way you will know how 'detailed' you want to be with your car. For some it's a whole day in the week taken from them.

Don't forget when washing to use the two bucket method.

Lots will say different but autoglym is a very good starting point for a thorough clean. Bodywork shampoo, synthetic polish, and hd wax/extra gloss protection work well and you can clay etc if you have time.
