Drivers heated seat

Just got my 9n3 gti and the drivers seat only seem to work when it wants to what could this be?

If anyone else has any info on this, it'd help me too as mine does exactly the same. It works now and then whereas the passenger is fine.

In a 3 door, where the seat latch is on the right hand side of the driver seat at the bottom is where the cables run, mine got trapped and cut so check for that to see if it's a dodgey connection
