hi guys, I brought my gti 6n2 last month with a few little problems, most of them I have fixed but one of them obviously hasn't worked!!
the passenger side footwell was a puddle, so I assumed the pollon filter housing was leaking through the bulkhead. so I removed, cleaned and re-sealed it, dry interior out and reassembled. seemed ok for a couple of weeks but after the heavy rain the floor is wet again. I noticed a water trail between the door seal and the door card and water was leaking down the interior plastic trim.
has anyone else had this problem and know the cure?
cheers glen.

Re: passenger door seal leak??
It's the seal on the door membrane behind the door card buddy

Re: passenger door seal leak??
There should be a membrane - that's strange if it's missing. Check the drain holes in the bottom of the door also.
Re: passenger door seal leak??
Hia Alex, iv just stripped the door card off the passenger side (where the leak is) and it has been damaged/ripped in the past. iv stuck a screw driver up the drain holes and they seem clear!! I don't know if I can repair the membrane good enough for it not to seal sufficiently has anybody replaced it with anything else? also like I said in the last post the door card and membrane are off the drivers side atm and that side isn't leaking at all???
any help or advice will be great cheers!!
