Sprint booster, anyone tried one?

Seen one of these on the web to increase pedal response times. Do these actually work or another gimic?

Don't worry I'm sure it'll cost plenty it probably acts just like a cheap tuning box for engines in that it fools the car's sensor into thinking you've mashed the pedal to 75% of the way down when you've only feathered it. It's just like getting into a different car with a more sensitive throttle than yours, and you'll soon get used to it.

100% load is 100% load. They'll probably tell you that if your footwell wasn't in the way you could push the pedal right into the engine bay and fly along at 250mph cos that's what Veyrons do, honest guv!

Also since when did electric systems travel any slower than a piece of moving cable?

Haha that was brilliant! But you're right, it does sound very much like that.

Shame theres so little engine mods for the 1.2 tsi engine.

A remap would be your best bang-for-your-buck upgrade, have they got reliable maps for the 1.2 yet?

A few handling mods would be good as well, a RARB if you haven't already got one, keep the back end level A 1.2 is never going to be a traffic light dragster but you can still have loads of fun in the corners with the light peppy motor.

I already have a map done and a catback exhaust system as well as a K&N panel filter as the standard airbox is quite big anyway.


Really don't know what else I can do lol other than a hybrid turbo.

I wouldn't throw more money under the bonnet, especially on pedal-tampering contraptions such as this. Mine probably has similar power even though it's a lump but I don't really find myself wanting/needing more, that's just the social status quo to want 'moar powaa'. Enjoy the car and the engine for what it is and the reasons you bought it, light, economical and peppy. Handling is the next port of call methinks

Suspension upgrades it is then! Thinking H&R 25/40mm springs and an anti roll bar kit from eibach?

You'll already have a proper front ARB fitted, and the one you get in the kit is probably uprated. Up to you if you want the front end to be stiffer, but since the back end is a torsion beam and if it's carried anything over from the 9n3 it slops around on the slightest bend, a rear ARB will act as a brace to make the whole beam stiffer. It was like night and day fitting mine. Apparently springs/coils help matters even more but mine's still stock. I've got no experience with an uprated front ARB either.
