Automatic headlight washers?

Has anyone with the headlight washers, happened to notice that sometimes they will wash themselves without driver input? My R Line has done it a couple of times now and im wondering if there is an intermittent fault?

Its worth pointing out that the wipers take a couple of strokes too, as if you have just pulled the windscreen washer, but not actually let any fluid come out of the jets. I hope you guys understand me.

That's not right. They are supposed to work every xx times the screen washers are used bit with the screen washers.

And only when the headlights Are on

Yeah I know. It happened today.

I was driving along with headlights on (bi-xenon) when the wipers came on and did two sweeps with no washer fluid. Then I parked up at home and could see the suds splattered around the headlight.

Should I have it looked at under warranty? Or will I be wasting my time because they won't be able see what my problem is?

Sounds like the headlight washer pump may have a fault

Dealer should be able to diagnose it further

So I've got round to taking it the dealers about this issue because it happened again the other day. Will keep informed. That's if they actually find the problem. Trying to tell dealers about intermittent faults is horrible. It's like they don't even know anything about their own cars
