Plastidip'd my wing mirrors! Good results!

Had a go with plastidip today after pondering whether to use it or not and today im glad I made the purchase! All in all took a few hours to do the prep work and the actual spraying. Sets really fast and is pretty much dry after 4 hours. Planning to do the rear spoiler in black at some point and also the alloys in gun metal.

There was a little run on with the paint as you can see, when I held the can too close. Not too bad when you have a close up but a little annoyed. The driver side wing mirror is much better.

Anyone else had experience with this stuff before?

Great job. Look really good. I am wanting to do my wing mirrors
As I also have a white polo. I am just undecided on paint, wrap or plasti
Dip but I am also doing my roof black and want them to match.
Wheels are in for paint this week and had windows tinted today so
All in all getting somewhere.

Mayby it's just me... But I don't get why you would plastidip the mirrors so the look like the mirrors on the cheapest most basic version of the Polo...

Can I ask why you'd want plastic wing mirrors that are from the cheapest most basic polo instead of body coloured ones?

Contemplating doing the rear badge as well. The stuff is surprisingly easy to work with and easy to remove so minimum masking is needed and any run off can be easily peeled away.

I wanted to paint them gloss black but since it's a lot of hassle and never used plastidip before, I wanted to try it out for myself. It does look a little cheap but looks better in person.

Haha there's a lot of this dipping and wrapping going on.

I saw a matte dark grey wrapped polo and it looked AWESOME.

Though I also saw a matte camouflage green one which almost made me sick lol

Yes! Matte looks so different. You'd instantly stand out!

But I've heard it costs a grand and then starts to bubble after a while and also surely it's easily scratchable? Then also surely when you come to rip it off; the adhesive will rip off your original paint to
