Advice on lights

Post by Mrobinson1994 »

Hi guys,
I'm new to this, and have just got a 1.4 2010 SE model in white.
I am looking to smarten the car up a bit, my first question is are there any cheap changes I can make to make the car look even better ?
the next question is are there any recommended bulbs that look better on the car, also should I be looking at white or blue lights ?
Does anyone also know if its easy to change the interior lights to something whiter ?
The final question would be is it worth getting a chrome or steel exhaust tip just as another attempt to smarten it up ?
I'm not looking to make any major modifications but any other suggestions are welcome, preferable cheap as I'm a student.
I'm also sorry if this has already been posted, just haven't had much time to search through properly.
Thanks

I've got these http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Volks ... 496&000384 and they are very good. Have you got the H7 or the H4 headlight?

Thank you both, I will have to have a look into which bulbs I will need, are these ones better than any of the Philips ones, also do you have any idea of any good sidelights and if LED ones would be worth a go.

Sweet, thanks for that, I still need to look into what bulbs I will need and what would you suggest for the side lights on the car, are LED's an option ?

I've got LED sides too, just ebay ones. I don't think there is much between the Philips/osram tbh. I rate the osrams who are the VW OEM manufacturer too.

Thanks man,
I have bought some sidelights, dont have a clue what they will be like, but they are these:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290617372321? ... 1439.l2649
I have also bought some for the number plate at the rear, and they are these:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290600920383? ... 1439.l2649
I also thought I would experiment with the interior lights and have bought some of these:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/131049238345? ... 1439.l2649
And I will get the osram bulbs, will post back the results.

At the moment I drive with Philips Diamond Vision. The only downside with them bulbs is that they got the blue tint to them and replectors are blue if you look at them directly. Otherwise pure white beam and looks awesome on the road, However Off Road use only but shhhh! :D

I purchased a H7 HID 5000K kit of eBay few weeks back and going to fit it into the car as soon as they're here. If they don't work I will definitely go with Osram Night Breakers. I know a few lads from my town that got them and they look ace in the car! Don't waste your time and go with Osram Night Breakers, otherwise get a decent HID kit of eBay, colour temperatures 4300K, 5000K or 6000K and rock them :)
