Possible fault with alarm

Post by Wilxay »

I own an R Line TSI which has central locking. When I unlock the boot on its own I can open it, do what I need, then shut it. When i shut it though, the alarm sets itself automatically, but the boot doesn't lock. So If I open it again immediately the alarm goes off. Try it on your own cars and tell me if I'm alone with this issue or not.

1. Press the boot button on key to unlock just the boot.
2. Open boot.
3. Close boot. *see indicators blink to signal alarm is set.
4. Try to open boot.

this is a coding default on later cars, due to people locking the keys in the boot

had the same thing on a mk6 golf, had to change some of the coding
