Lock / Unlock Confirmation Noise

Hi guys I have a 2011 1.2 POLO MATCH in White.

I have enabled lock/unlock confirmation on my car but I am greeted with a nasty loud horn, when I lock and unlock, instead of the nice chirp / beep I was hoping for.

Does anybody know how I could change the noise of the confirmation tone?

It would be greatly appreciated.

Sadly, unless you have the alarm fitted, you cannot change the chirp of the lock/unlock

what if I fit an alarm?

That would work. You'd have to get the cars coding changed to disable the horn chirp so the alarm one will work alone.

In Florida most cars seem to have this feature, where the car's horn beeps on locking/unlocking.

So in car parks at retail parks etc there is a continuous chorus of beeping car horns. It is a bit surreal at first, and definately not something l would want to see here!

I may be wrong but I seem to remember this feature having to be disabled on new cars in the UK.
Too many people being woken up in the morning maybe?

Can probably switch in back on but as said before unless you have the alarm it will be the horn.

Yes at the moment its very annoying with the horn beeping every time I unlock and lock, would prefer a beep, or I will just have to use VCDS to turn the whole feature of all together
