Ordered a 2014 SEL - Worried about colour choice....

Pleaced an order yesterday for a 2014 5dr SEL for September delivery.

I've specced Carmen Red as a colour but not looking online suggests this is more a deep burgundy colour. Am I right in thinking this?

Considering now changing to Reflex Silver or Blue Silk as a safer choice.....

Decided on reflex silver in the end. Shame delivery is now the back end of September!

I was quoted 'up to 4 months' when I ordered my Polo in May, but it looks like it'll hit in July based on current information

I've ordered an SEL 3 dr in white. It's a new colour Pure White, which is on the new MKVII Golf. Instead of the old Polo Candy White.

I went to my local dealer to check the colour out in the flesh, as the online config and other online pictures, don't do any of the colours justice in my opinion.

You shouldn't be to bad for September delivery - I am the same as nry, I was quoted September delivery, and mine is now on a ship heading to the UK from Emden

. Should have her in roughly 2 weeks!

Just had a call from the dealer and now looking at mid/end October for delivery.

He said its due to choosing the 1.2 110 TSI engine?

Must just be a popular choice mate. I have gone for the 1.2 TSI 110 PS as well as I test drove an Audi A3 1.2 TFSI 105 PS and that was very nippy in my opinion!

So I thought I'd go for it haha!

Three door Polos are expected lead times of around 12 weeks, 5 doors around 22!

My experience so far, for those who are interested..

Ordered - 4th May 2014
Status 1 (Processing order) - 12th May 2014
Status 2 (With the factory) - 13th May 2014
Status 3 (Build week confirmed) - 16th May 2014
Status 4 (Build in progress) - 9th June 2014
Status 5a (In transit from Spain) - 10th June 2014
Status 5b (Shipped from Emden) - 27th June 2014
Status 5c (Near Grimsby,UK) - 28th June 2014
Status 6 (Arrived in UK) - 28th June 2014

So far 8 weeks from order to arrival in the UK. Just need the car to clear customs and confirm that it is UK spec, then wait for transportation to my retailer for collection. So i am guessing it will be 9 weeks total, if not then 10 at the most..

The car is quite a high spec, as I plan on having the car for a good few years.

I rather like the Carmen Red. Although the Seat Montsant Red is a bit nicer IMO. A Carmen Red Golf followed by a Montsant Red Leon went past me this morning. Both looked fantastic in the sun.

I've specced Nav - does the Nav unit not include DAB?
