Say if it was the 6.5" Composition Media System on the 6c. Adding it to that, rather than paying £150 on factory order..

Re: Facelifting 6R
According vw configurator can be ordered from the factory with Radio Composition media and also with the navigation system Discover media.
The MirrorLink function (vw) has several applications, the most important is to link the screen from other devices, other application is for efficient driving.
Now for example, instead of installing a voltmeter (like mine)
or typical clocks turbo pressure, temperature, etc ... with a simple application is solved.
Personally I think 150€ is not an excessive price to order from factory.

I think all that adding MirrorLink does is give you the ability to mirror (duh!) your phone's screen on the car's screen. Nothing else. The trip computer info stuff is all available on the systems fitted in the Golf, which doesn't have MirrorLink available yet.

So would MirrorLink just be a case of buying the appropriate cable and installing the software / enabling the coding?

Re: Facelifting 6R
No idea, sorry. But for the sake of £150, I'd tick the box. Just make sure that your phone is compatible- I know my Sony Z1 is compatible with MirrorLink, but I don't know about other Android handsets. I know that iPhones aren't at all, and that Windows Phones (Nokia Lumias) aren't although compatibility is apparently coming soon.
Re: Facelifting 6R
anyone know if the facelifted taillights would be available to purchase and would they be a direct swap on the 6R?
Thanks!
Thanks!
