Recirculation function

Every time l turn on the aircon, the flippin' recirculation button turns itself on as well, and l have to turn it off again.

Is this normal? Can l stop it from doing it?

If the temperature is turned to fully cold this will happen. Turn it up a bit and it won't

It's done to be more efficient to cool down quicker.

My Polo being early 2012, I don't have the semi automatic climate control, just an A/C button and standard heater controls.
But l will try turning the temperature dial a little off "blue" and see if that works.

Yes that worked, one click off maximum cold cancels the auto recirculation function.

And only moving it that far does not produce any heat. So all good.
