Spluttering

Hi all

Have a slight issue with my 6n2 GTI. In the last year it has had new fuel filter, plugs, leads and coil. IN the last 6-8 weeks I have noticed that when pulling up to lights for example, when I accelerate away the car hesitates, almost of if there is a slight blockage, splutters then clears and all will be ok. I have noticed this gets worse when I first go into the reserve part of the fuel tank. Have also tried adding some redex fuel additive but this has had little affect. will the fuel filter have gone only after a years worth of motoring? any other things i should look for. the breather pipe from the oil separator is also shagged, not split but feels like sponge. could this have something to do with it or separate issue entirely?

have you scanned the car for errors at all? Some sensor failures can cause these symptoms

Breather filter being blocked can cause some issues, so I would look to sort that

As for the fuel filter, no these are generally good for 4 or so years easy
