Spec me some new tyres please :)

Gonna be needing some new tyres in december time or earlier. Im looking for some low profile 215/35 R16 tyres. Can anyone reccomend some good ones?

Tiny bit expensive but the Dunlop SP Sport Maxx are very good.

Very good on Roll Resistance and very good on Wet Grip.

You can get them down to 35 profile aswell.

Normally about £100 per tyre.

That's alright mate, thought i wasn't looking hard enough lol.


I found some Falken low profile ones but unsure of the performance on these. Low profile 16's are so hard to come by!

Ive had every premium make and by far continentals are my favourites

215/35 R 16 Looks like the wrong tyre size anyway. Out the door Polo's come with..

185/60 R 15 (1818.6) Nominal circumference.
215/45 R 16 (1809.25) -0.5%
215/40 R 17 (1821) +0.13%

215/35 R 16 (1679.6) -7.64% (Anything outside 2% is pish) That much will throw your speedo off by more than 5mph at 70. (215/35 R 16. is a slightly odd size anyway which is probably why you're struggling to find any at a decent price) At 45 profile, you'll find tons.

As above, Conti's are pretty good.

Cheers guys! I think I will get some Conti's at a better profile, didn't realize how low a 35 profile tyre would be! Think I might try for a 40 profile instead.
