some general GTI engine questions?

well this is my first post here!
just purchased a silver 9n3 GTI a week or so ago and enjoying it very much!
i have a friend who has a mk3 ibiza 1.8t who is keen for me to get some things done in the engine bay of my newly aquired car! the car already has a remap, forge dump valve and boost gauge installed and i am currently looking at tidying up the bay to begin with, with some silicone hoses. the only reason for this is a guy on a local forum is selling a set of 1.8t forge silicone coolant hoses for a good price.

my first question is are all 1.8 engines relatively the same? the forge website says it will fit all 1.8t engines but then it only mentions engines starting with A and not the polos BJX engine code. i guess this means they wont fit? if so what have people done for silicone hoses for there car?
i am strugelling to find much for sale for the BJX engine in terms of parts and very little info

Hey Steve ... Welcome along.. Someone on here will b able to help . I'm not too sure if the golf hoses are all compatible with the bjx engine... I also seen that ad..

another question i have?!

looking for get a second inlet manifold and get it sent away for powder coating. do i need to buy a manifold specifically for the BJX engine or is there another 1.8t manifold that will fit? i see some are different shapes and have connectors at different ends which obviously wont work but hopefully there is one that will as finding a polo one is difficult!

i have a spare inlet manifold bud for the bjx as got one for the same reason so my old one is for sale £40 posted 07753214124 also got a cam cover
