Few general 6R questions

Post by LeeT96 »

1) I understand during the day that the headlights are always running as DRLs but how come at night even with my switch set off OFF my rear, front and number plate lights are on? But don't seem to be on in the day...

2) Sometimes when I set the heaters to the front windscreen and put it on 4 speed the AC comes on without me pressing it?

3) The removable tray thing (part no: 6r0 863 739 a) won't sit properly where it's meant to be anymore - the clips are really weak! where can I order one from - can't see online? will I have to go to VW?

1)DRL always work when the light switch is in position "0".
According to your comments, you have enabled Parking lights ON with Terminal 15 ON.
Solutión: Uncheck Byte12 bit 0 of the BCM. (vcds)

2) Is normal operation for defogging as quickly as possible.

3) 6R0863739A 82V Best buy at the dealership. € 4 ---- £ 3. +/-

Hi, I have done no coding? But its like I have a sensor as they are not on in the day? But they come on when my Bury goes into nightmode?

But I leave it on 'off' and I know my headlights will be on but in the day, the brake lights aren't. But at night they are on? Thanks.

No, no, ... DRL are only in the headlights (in your case). In other cases it is in the addicional bulb within the fog lamps.
Switch in Off --- DRL works during day and night.

You must keep in mind that the instrument panel has a sensor that varies its own lighting depending on the ambient light. I guess you already knew this.

Yeah i know that mate but why do my rear lights and number plate lights come on at night? the previous owner must have coded it in to turn on with the ambient lighting?

No I do not :( Weird huh!

And I also assumed you'd know the size of the Torx to remove the bolts in the seat rails?

and then how do I remove the seat? Do I just unplug it underneath?
