A problem has recently developed with my Polo, in that the fuel filler flap no longer unlocks automatically when the ignition is switched off / key removed.
Initially the fault was intermittent, but now it is permanent. I believe the locking mechanism is actuated by a solonoid, however I can find no mention of a fuse protecting this system (of course it is likely not the fuse at fault, but optimistically, it may be).
Do anyone know which fuse protects the solonoid release, or have experience of this problem on a Polo of this vintage (late 2010).
Many thanks,
Alexander

Re: Fuel Filler Flap fails to unlock
Its not a fuse as such. Its a seperate locking motor that controls this one
Check the wiring behind the carpet in the boot where the fuel filler cap backs onto and make sure its not got wet/damaged
6R0810773B is apparently the lock part number from what I can tell
