similiar thing in the D.star today
was reading it, apparently men are better at driving, but women are better at looking in the mirror!!!

apparently it was that "they used the mirrors more often, and not just for checking their makeup".... whether they were better or worse at taking note of what was visible in the mirror at the time and acted upon that information was not mentioned...

i think it might be a case of checking mirrors more often, but reduced spacial awareness (their words) makes it harder to relate that info to where other vehicles and obstacles actually are?
or praps just a case of not caring
