Sounds like a good deal for a quality unit! I loved my Clarion until it broke down.

Is it available in different colors? the shell bit i take it your refering too? :?

I think i've bought the black gun-metal one. It should suit the interior! I'm so impatient, cant wait!

It's got an amplifier built in i think, does that mean i can attach a sub, and won't need to buy an amplifier? :?

yep thats right, ideally if you upgrade your speakers to anything decent they will need an amp too. The headunit has front preout, rear preout and a sub preout. So theres no problem there.

I've had this unit for well over a year now.

It's great, sounds very nice, and I really loved it until it broke at xmas which was nice and convenient. My Clarion dealer didn't care, neither did Clarion. I sent it back to www.mcs-direct.co.uk who I cannot fault. I went to put it back in and the cage sliced through my thumb in a V shape, on the joint, to the bone.

Be careful!

OUCH! i hope your ok! Yeh! it was difficult getting the cage into my care too! I think it's trapped their now!

The thing is, i don't like the way the head-unit is not flush, like the original beta unit was.

Can anyone mention any remedies?
it sticks out quite a bit. :? :(
