I think the blued grill will look smart, along with the GTD badge.

What remap you looking at?
Can't find many GTD badges, the ones I have seen are £30, the grill itself is only £40! Not sure who to have the remap done by, looking at Revo. Have you had a remap done by anyone? Hopefully get it up to 140bhp on the remap alone.

My neighbour was kind enough to give me two after I talked about my plans for the car, he knocked on my door with a wheel either side of him! They were off a mk4 r32 he had, now he's got a mk5. The other two wheels took me over two months to find, one was £113 and the other £130 without tyres. I think sets go a lot cheaper though, 350-400.

I also have a 1.6 TDI. If you looking to get a remap done best place is R-tech in Hinckley Leicestershire, Be advised you would have to upgrade the brakes with the increased power.

Badges do seem disproportionately expensive don't they!

I don't have a remap, didn't fancy having to have the ECU opened as no tuner was confident they could do it via the OBD port on my year car.

I do have a TMC Motorsport tuning module though. Really happy with it, and makes a big difference to the performance, most noticeably from 2000rpm on.

Only cost me an extra £25 to insure too.

saty wrote:Haha I was the same. I've thought about blackening the badges but I've got a lot of chrome on the car: sel grill, exhaust tip. I'm looking to get a GTI grill, I'll black out the top red strip with plastidip and possibly chrome the bottom.
I am looking at a remap now though..

Yes iv looked at a few remap options decided with a plug and play box as it will flash the drive when I take it off so wv won't know lol although because the polo gt has cylinder deactivation I can't find any specific to the car yet :( yeah that would look good man I'm just worried that there will be too much black on my car aha

Thinking about it, I probably don't need the extra power yet, but looking at handling mods. Next major mod will defo be an anti roll bar for the rear.

This happened the other day, to think I wanted to go lower!

Not sure what the point of it is, clipped back in tho, will have to get it on the ramp to see what it actually does

Thanks, Got it off ebay for 13 quid, I think the guy hasn't got anymore though. Its the matte one

Yeah just the badge, it pops off with a flat head screw driver.

Originally bought it to paint the red lines on the gti grill black, but its been a while since i've done something to the car and im bored waiting for the grill to come thru

Have you got your car yet?

Yeah a gloss badge would look a lot better, i'm not really a fan of the black badge so I will probably peel the plastidip off in the near future

The matt black badge looks odd on the gloss black paintwork and that H&R sticker looks naff on a debadged rear.
