Media in 2013 Polo problems

Hey all

Ive bought a media in cable from volkswagen. Its media in to usb. I have tried using my iphone 5s to connect with it, however it says that this media is none functional. At first i thought it was the cable, however, when i plug a USB pen drive in, it works and plays through my radio.

Any ways i can get this cable to work with my iphone?!

Car im using is a 2013 Match Polo.

Also, when using my TPK kit to play music via bluetooth, the sound quality is appauling and has literally no bass. Am i doing something wrong here?

I think you need the MDI to Apple cable. I think that there is a Lightning cable version, not sure though, if not I think the proper official 30-pin to Lightning cable works. Not 100% sure.

yeah i've just bought a 30 pin apple mid cable and a converter to the 5 pin thing

do you know where to get one? reasonably priced haha. also, could i just used an iphone 3/4 cable and add a lightning converter too it?
