H&R 35mm Comfort Kit change of direction

Post by alanjwong »

I currently have the H&R sport kit 60/40 on my car. I have changed direction and am going to be changing it for the H&R comfort kit mainly due to poor roads full of pot holes, speed bumps and im wanting more comfort.

So i have these beauties going on tomorrow,

Brand new H&R Comfort Kit 35mm
H&R Anti Roll Bar with all new fittings and drop links
OMP front upper strut brace

This is what my car looks like now, side profile before i had my vinyl roof and bonnet wrap.

The car from front looks like this,

The rear view after i had a a custom Long Life hidden exhaust full system fitted at TopGear in Bridport

Ill post up some more photos after its all fitted.

After the H&R 60/40 kit comes off, they will be up for sale. So if anyone is interested in buying them. Send me a pm

Don't want to be mean but the strut brace is pretty useless. You will not see any difference.
If you want to improve handling get this: http://www.uk-polos.net/view ... rt=15#wrap
H&R's are fine, we have talked about this previously. Wrapping looks quite good even though i am against it. :)
Nice!

I noticed a fair difference on the front end when I fitted the upper strut brace to my GTI. Just seemed to tighten it up and reduce lift when cornering

Probably the placebo effect Alex :P
Seriously, don't think it's worth it but if you have money to spend why not. From what i've red most people didn't notice any change at least compared to lower ARB and most importantly rear ARB which is a must IMHO. I've driven a polo with a whiteline rear arb and it makes the car waaay better in cornering. It is on my to do list!

I got the kit fitted and it is awesome, the comfort to performance ratio is perfect for me. There is no more harshness and i don't feel every single bump in the road like i did before.

I will look into this white line arb. I wonder how much it costs?

Did you have any issues with springs binding on the 60/40 kit?recently fitted them to my 6n2 and keep hearing spring pinging when moving slowly like reversing out the drive. Mine didn't have any rubber tubing on the springs but been looking into that. Also fitted new strut top mounts and bearings when fitted but driving me mad

I never had a problem with any binding on the H&R 60/40 kit I had. It was just the ride quality I didn't like.
