Re: New GTI
Looks good in black
Had noticed the red detailing behind the LED unit before - that's a nice little touch!

Yes when I saw the car in person the red into the lights made sense when I saw it from the side and could see it emerged from behind the LED units too.

Re: New GTI
So finally been to see the retailer
Initially had a build week of 30 then jumped to week 17 which is a bit of a result.
Just need to sell my 9n3 now.

Re: New GTI
Just been to my dealers today to check on my order of 22nd December. He tells me that my car has been built and is in transit. It is two weeks since I received this information on the order tracker. He has told me that my car will be in the UK possibly third week April as the cars are shipped from Spain to Germany for Quality Control checks. Seems a bit daft to me but if someone can tell me if this is true?.

Re: New GTI
I've never heard of VW Germany checking vehicles in person that have been built in other plants.
It sounds extremely inefficient, not to mention costly, and not very VW if you think about it.

Re: New GTI
That's exactly my thoughts when I was told. If that was the case you'd have people in the plant in Spain. Not to mention the shipping costs. Ships come direct from Santander to Sheerness, Grimsby and Port of Tyne anyway. Just hope my car is on one of these ships soon. Anymore thoughts?.Tooks wrote:I've never heard of VW Germany checking vehicles in person that have been built in other plants.
