Bonnet release won't work!

I tried pulling the bonnet release handle on my old 6R that belongs to a friend... nothing happens.
Any ideas?

Get someone to press up and down on the bonnet while you pull the release. Push towards the front of the bonnet
Are u pulling hard enough? I have to pull pretty hard on my lever

Yeah defo pulling hard enough!
Thanks, I'll give it a go tomorrow.

I think it's down to the mechanism just above the VW badge corroding - hence not releasing the bonnet.

Had to use the push on the bonnet trick on a couple of polos when i was looking for mine
