6C SEL - Rear Speakers

Post by CrypticG »

Hi guys.

So today for some unknown reason the rear speakers in my polo stopped working. I have reset the unit and switched off and on etc etc and still no joy..

Has anyone ever experienced this? Or have any idea as to how to fix it?

Thanks in advance

both stopped working?

you could check whether the front/back balance wasn't set completely to the front

I tried that, I had the balance set to the back and nothing happened. However, I left the car for a few hours and it has now returned to normal.. Seems another issue with the software

the car needs to be off for about 15-30 minutes in order for the radio to fully shut down (more shut down than stand-by) so that makes sense.

Try and press and hold the power button on the stereo unit until it turns off and the Welcome to Volkswagen screen appears.

I'm having huge issues with the speakers in my car at the moment. VW replaced a "broken" speaker in one of the door cards which I hadn't even noticed as being "broken" since then, when I start the car the music will only play through the rear speakers. After 30 seconds or so the music will come through to the front speakers too, so it takes 30 seconds for the music I'm listening to come through to all speakers. It doesn't matter if it's bluetooth, cd, SD card or the radio. They don't understand what's up with it...
