I wasn't too sure on the gti in red, but that looks really REALLY good.

One question does it have the ugly sticker on the passenger Sun visor?

And anyone got a part number for a LHD drivers side one If it has?

Awesome photos John!

Looks brilliant in red - so glad I picked that too. Also, interior looks great with electronic climate control instead of normal air-con.

Glad to hear your initial thoughts on Sport setting, and that it isn't too hard for UK roads

Congratulations Wolfi. whatever spec you have I'm sure you'll love it.

Day two and a half.

It's the DSG combination with this beautiful engine that's doing it for me. So silky smooth, no more lurching , hesitation, clunkiness or clumsiness. Combined with the start/stop technology ii's pure joy. :)
All that the car journalists could bang on about was the manual, fine. But for those of us used to the previous DSG incarnation and now opting to have it again in the new GTI, it's pretty much chalk and cheese.
I don't believe that anyone would go back to the previous model after driving this engine /DSG combo.

Catch the reflection of the car somewhere and boy do the LED lights look sexy.

The GTI has ACT? I don't believe it ever runs on two cilinders.
Don't you mean start&stop?

Ah, alright.
Yeah the start&stop is lovely around town and doesnt get in the way.

I never owned a vehicle equiped with s&s, i hear the batteries are quite more expensive than regular car batteries, in order to cope with the extra use.
