Vw polo 9n3 match 60bhp

Post by Addy 95 »

Hi, just wondering if my 3 cylinder engine would be affected if I put a peroformance exhaust on the car?? If not then alls good but also does anybody know what performance exhausts are compatible with my car? It's a 9n3 polo match 1.2 60bhp 3 cylinder engine.....Trying to get a gti replica so want a twin tip tail pipe but not to sure what exhaust is best for this without damaging the car in the future?? I hear Jetex exhausts are good???? Any help would be really appreciated.????????

Cheers :D :D

Just change the backbox to a twin tip one.

Cheers for the reply mate. I did look at that but don't just want some random backbox that will damage the car up plus a lot of people have been telling me that a backbox won't affect the sound of the car?? Any info on that would be great? :( :(

A backbox can provide a completely different sound from a raspy crackle to a deep burble. My polo just has a backbox and it's just enough noise to make it sporty yet subtle

A backbox won't damage the car at all

On a 60bhp you wouldn't want a full system as that could actually reduce performance.

Oh well that's great don't suppose you recommend any good back boxes that will sound sporty?? Was thinking of a cat bac system but if you reckon a backbox will do I will try that mate.. Cheers for the quick reply btw

What polo you got and what backbox is on that??

Ive got a 6n2 GTI which has a Sebring backbox on it

You could get a GTI backbox with an adaptor sleeve to compensate for the difference in pipe size, or alternatively milltek are very good. Otherwise jetex, power flow, scorpion
