From VW:
"Rear tinted windows from B-pillar back
Heat insulated rear tinted glass 65% light absorbing from B-pillar backwards"

Get it wrong and the problem would be yours not the police. You could be fined and, in the event of an accident you could find yourself uninsured. Have a careful look at Construction and Use regulations first, don't rely upon the vendors or fitters to give you good advice, they only want your money.

Re: Window Tint
Windscreen tinting is pretty much illegal in this country, as is tinting your front windows
The rear windows/bootlid is about all you would want to tint
Your playing with fire if you do the fronts/windscreen. It just isnt worth it.

We've got these in our cars because they're better than normal sunblinds for the kids.alexperkins wrote:Windscreen tinting is pretty much illegal in this country, as is tinting your front windows

Far better than tinting the windows. Cheaper too, at about £80.
The UV shades went in the Polo. They are a bit cheaper and were easier to fit.

"Mr. Plod" has better things to do than chase around after idiots with tinted front windows. Why would you want to tint your front windscreen - perhaps you are ashamed to be seen in your car?
Is there a price on your head!? Are you trying to look like a gangster? They don't drive Polo's; You'd be better off putting your money towards a yellow XJS and a camel hair coat.

A bit harsh on XJSs perhaps.
