Need help with voice control

Hello all, I just took delivery of my 1.2 TSI Lounge Polo on Friday and so far I've been really enjoying it, what a great car!
Anyways, I have a question about the voice control system on the car. I have the Composition Media, and the voice control button on the steering wheel. When I push the button, the cluster screen displays a message saying "Voice control not available". I haven't specified the voice control option when buying the car but in Golf 7's (don't know if it's the same in the polo) when the car doesn't have voice control, the voice control button just mutes audio. If my car can't do voice control because I haven't ordered it that way, I want it to function as a mute button. So my question is, can I activate voice control (maybe at the dealership but even if they could do it, I guess I would have to pay), or can I use the button as mute?
