brake light switch location?

Hi all...looking to change the brake light switch on my 1.6tdi 6r but
Can not find where its located..checked the pedal but no luck!..
Any help will be appreciated!.. Car in limp mode at the mo!

Is it not above the pedal?

Looks like its now in the master cylinder....god knows why

Any idea if this would cause the car to go in limp mode?

It could, but this is the first ive heard of one failing

Have you had it scanned?

Just had the switch replaced cleared the fault..no other faults showing but emissions light, Eml, and flashing coil showing on display..tried doing regen of dpf on motorway but no luck..then tried force regen using vag com but still no luck.. Car still in limp mode..no faults showing either?.

Does VCDS show any registered faults?

No mate. No faults showing.. That's the strange thing.. Worst case then looks like dpf delete and removal!..cars only done 42k..
Just cant understand dpf getting blocked!..

You wouldnt get all those lights for DPF - it has its own light

If lights are on, I dont get why theres no fault. Doesnt make any sense

How old is the car?

That makes sense! So had another scan done and this what came up
01314 engine control module no signal/ communication.. Intermittent?

Any ideas?

The car is 2010 model

Has it been remapped at all? That error points to an ECU related fault

No mate...not remapped....will check wiring loom to ecu later.

Looks like dpf removal delete and remap..just been quoted £420!..
So gonna book it in next week!... Thanks for help n advice
