Headlight allen screws

Post by chrispy. »

Hey!

Anyone know what the allen headed plastic screws are on top of the headlights?

I think I see somewhere they are adjusters for the beam?

Am I correct?

Thanks.

Yes one does up and down and one does left and right

Thanks Alex! Is this in addition to the angle adjustment dial inside the car?

Yes, this corrects the position of the beam for MOT purposes, rather than moving the reflectors up and down for load adjustment via the dial in the car

The screws that hold the headlight unit to the carriers (body) are for alignment to the bodywork - the screws on the actual unit themselves are for the beam alignment.
