Polo EGR vacuum hose

Post by chris6n2 »

Hi all.

This is my first post here, so please be nice!

I drive a 1.4 6n2 and have been having problems with misfires and rough idling, but only when the engine is up to temperature.
I've changed the coil, fuel filter, replaced the brake servo vacuum line, plugs and have replaced the exhaust flexi pipe (different problem).

The misfire always occurs on cylinder 4 and sometimes 2 too. I've checked all the electrics and they're sound so i'm thinking it's to do with the fueling

I was playing about with thee EGR vacuum hose earlier and noticed air can both go in and out. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i93/K ... C01618.jpg
Searching google, I found the EGR only kicks in when the engine is up to temperature so this could be my problem.

Should this vacuum hose not let air in? I can't find any reference to it online, or find a replacement.

Thanks :)

That hose should let air in only and not out

Have you made any progress?
