Just ordered the new Polo 6C/6R 1.8 GTI!

Hi there,

My first post on the forum here, hope this is the right place to post... I used to have the 1.4 Seat Ibiza Cupra 2014 but unfortunately that has been written off in an accident and so I have just returned from VW with my order for a brand new Polo GTI 3dr manual!

I'm not sure what the difference is between the 6R/6C to be perfectly honest but I will be sure to learn it as I stick around on the forums. I've got the polo specced up with the following

3 Dr
1.8 tsi manual
Black
Standard 17" alloys
Alcantara interior (heated front seats)
Upgraded Navigation system with in-car connect app
Convenience Pack
Climate Control
Parking pack with front/rear sensors + reverse cam
Sports performance Dynamic Chassis Control.

Cannot wait, very excited for it to be built, the next 12-16 weeks are going to be the longest weeks ever... If there's anything to look for, anything I should know about the new polos etc please let me know

I couldn't wait for a factory order so just bought one that had already been specced so only took 3 weeks to arrive! I had a 6R GTI before this (so the same engine as your Ibiza) and the new one is a huge improvement.

Feels much faster - you can really feel the extra torque and the handling is much improved on the 6T. It will be worth the wait.. I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

I wanted to go for pre-built as the wait is going to kill me but i'm super fussy as there are none out there with the exact spec I'm after

I cannot wait, it looks great fun. Hopefully the time will fly by between now and then and before I know it I will be taking delivery of it!

So the 6R is the pre 15 plate 1.4 tsi 180bhp
the 6C is ???
and the now just discovered 6T is the new 1.8?

Very nice, that's exactly the same spec as mine, except you've got the heated seats (winter pack is it?)

I've got another 2-3 weeks wait, try not to think about it for a few months until it's closer!

One of those things were getting the most spec is a must, if the chance is there to choose exactly what you want then do not miss the opportunity! Looking forward to seeing the difference between the 1.4 DSG 180bhp to how it feels to drive the Manual. Hopefully a lot more fun than the seat, although fun it does get slightly boring with just stop and go..

Yeah went for the winterpack also, cant beat a heated seat in the winter!

Hopefully before I know it January time will be here and I'll be collecting it.. Just know no matter how much I try not to think about it these next few months are going to drag... lol

If im correct 2008-2014 was the 6R which is the 1.4gti, then from the facelift last year polo's are 6C which makes all the new 1.8 polo gti's 6C.
I may be wrong but this is my understanding it all gets a bit confusing at times.
