Anti-Hijack locking

Post by h5djr »

Is anyone else aware that the latest Polo (October 2015) no longer comes with the ability to automatically lock the doors at around 15mph. My wife took her new Polo to the dealers yesterday to have this set and was told it was no longer possible to do.

Does anyone know if it can be done using VCDS.

We had this discussion earlier and it seems to be weird, because Polos from other regions still have this option (in example my GTI from Poland), only UK was left out.

Sorry completely forgot. Follow this link http://www.vagcars.dk/phpbb/viewtopic.p ... 8#p1007718

Look at the second post down on the page just look at the pictures and you will see what you have to do to enter the security code once you have down that open the adaption menu on the cent elec page and the option your looking for is

18)-Access control-Menuesteuerung ZV Autolock-Unlock

This will be disabled turn it to adjustable then click done and that will enable the option on the central locking settings on the radio so you can now turn it on and off as you want without having to use vcds

Oh, this is something that I must try soon, thanks for that, I was just waiting for VCDS to catch up with all the changed modules on the 6C version! I was kind of hoping that the latest version of VCDS might have included them, still to check what the latest changes are.

Thanks, but I think that you have missed the point, I have had VAG-COM and then upgraded to VCDS for about 10>12 years, the issue is, currently VCDS can not help out with some of the newer controller on some models probably due to lack of that model's sales in the main "VCDS" territories, and that includes some of the 6C controllers.
What I was meaning was, as a VCDS user, I get all the updates - and one has just come in, though I have not checked what exactly the changes are.

We have just used the information to get the Anti-Hijacking back on my wife's new (October) Polo 1.2SE. As I don't have a VCDS cable that will work with the Polo we took the car to Quattro-Tech in St Ives (Cambs) and they did the changes. They did say they have been asked about this and permanently disabling the Start/Stop quite a few times recently so I left both of the printouts with them. Both sorted for £30.00. Thanks again for the information.
