Hey guys.
Now, just to put this out there first of all. I recently bought a VCDS cable and have been experimenting... ( we all know where this is going.)
Anyway, i seem to have cleared any memory of my key fob resulting in my key being rendered useless and not unlocking/locking the car. (Im having to open manually with the key and turn off alarm by turning on the ignition.) however, the key will still start the car so i dont think i have wiped the immobilzer thank god! Any tips on how to fix this? I only have one key too just to make matters more difficult.
Thanks guys
Key Fob!?

Re: Key Fob!?
In the Debug folder (VCDS program) you have the solution.
Look at the codingLog, adpLog files. Spot the differences in codings.

All you have to do is return to the previous state. Tell us the results.

Re: Key Fob!?
Hey ciclo, thanks for the reply.
Ive got up the logs and compared the codes, reverted back to the previous code which is think is before i wiped the memory of the remote.
Still doesnt seem to be doing anything.
I have tried to re-pair the key using VCDS but when i try and increase the value to 1 from 0 the option to TEST is grayed out.
Any ideas?
Cheers

Re: Key Fob!?
yes, do not write 1, write or select 0 ... always ... for all keys

Re: Key Fob!?
Hi
I upgraded my BCM to 6R0 937 087T today.
Copied previous long code to CAN gateway correctly . Selected right options from the installation list.
Disabled factory mode on BCM. copied long coding all correct.
But now not able to adopt my 2 keyfobs.
I see storage value as 0. Still I started with value 0 > test > save...up to this point fine
but when I enter storage value 1 or 2 the save and test buttons become inactive.
Am I missing a trick here?
Also in CAN gateway I do not see details like bit-0-3 manufacturer volkswagen and bit 4-7 model/chasis details as in the link below.
It shows my previous bcm
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwPbWO ... sp=sharing
I just see all bits in sequence one below other without any details as to what that bit is
Thanks for your help.
Happy holidays

Update! Issue ressolved
After trying every trick on the net till evening nothing worked for me so started trial and error method.
Here is what worked for me
In central electronics >> adoption. >>> remote adoption
- increased the new value to 1 with the 'up' button - test and save buttons became inactive - reduded the value to 0 using down button - save button became active - hit save button - immediately pressed unlock button on keyfob for a second - keyfob registered and both blinker indicators flashed-success
Repeated the same process for second keyfob and both keyfobs work fine.
Cheers

Re: Key Fob!?
Ended up nipping to my local VW garage and got them to sort it in the end. They mentioned that they too couldn't reassign the key with VCDS so had to revert to using an older slower system which eventually did the trick! Cost me £20 which was nothing compared to the time and frustration spent trying to sort it myself!
