AUX- RCD210

Hey guys i was wondering i have an RCD210 radio in my 6R. Can someone link all the things i need to use an AUX cable with the radio ?.

Guys i really need to know if its possible to put aux in rcd210 ?.
Some people are saying you need a special cable that that plugs in the back of the radio and has some kind of a box in the middle and then aux on the other side , that box is supossed to trick the radio into thinking you are listening to a CD but you are infact using AUX.
And others are saying its just a plug and play thing with a cable that plugs in the back of the radio and then aux on the other end of the cable.

Im starting to be so confused. I went to a known shop here that sells radio and speaker related products and the guy that owns the shop who btw is a good friend of my dad said to me that if i wanted to use my RCD210 radio i needed to buy a cable that he is selling for 20 thousand icelandic kr = £104 + all the work so im starting to get really confused over this radio talk.

If anyone would be kind and explain to me what i actually need and works 100% i would be really happy

It isnt that easy. I asked a guy who is a good friend of my dad and he said they needed to reprogram the radio to get the aux function to be enabled and work.

You dont - the second option uses the CD changer route so the radio think it has a cd changer instead.

The radio only needs reprogramming if you go down the dedicated 'Aux' route.

Oh ok so if i buy the one you linked first its just plugged in the back of the radio and done ?.
So the radio thinks im listening to a CD but im actually using Aux ?. Basically plug and play as they state.
Another question do you know how much VW charges to activate the aux function ?.

lol i just went to the dealer who sells vw cars here in iceland and the guy at the parts department said he couldnt see it was possible to repgrogram the radio but he knew it was possible in the rcd310 haha but i know its possible in the shop that a friend of my dad owns.
