Hello Ciclo.

After I saw on this topic I can't believe my eyes. Every mod is so good and well done. 8)

I come from small country of Slovenia and even smaller city called Kamnik. I work in official VW dealership and I recently purchased VW Polo 6R 1.6TDI DSG, 2010 year, but with only 9500km(after 4 months it has 17.000km on the speedo). :)

I have made a few changes(changing all light bulbs, changing with aftermarket(OEM lookalike) radio with navi, BT, 2xUSB, ALU pedals), but I strive for more. I really want OEM bi-xenon headlights, but the price is really high. Few weeks ago we tried to activate cornering light but the BCM doesn't support that? I have Highline version with Boavista sport package, winterpackage, Climatronic, rear parking sensors, auto-dimming rear view mirror and rain sensor. :)

So my question to you is...can I somehow activate cornering light and CH/LH? Or do I need automatic light switch for CH/LH?

Thank you very much. Through holidays I will open a new topic with pictures in it.

Have a nice day and happy holidays :)

Welcome tadej, powitalny.

Please tell us if your Polo TDI has a start/stop system or not.
If it has a start/stop system, then CH/LH and static cornering lights can be done with VCDS. And also the automatic setting with a wiring set.
If it does not, you might need to replace the BCM in order to make some things work. I am not sure.
Many polos without start/stop also support the CH/LH function and static cornering lights.

Good start of your polo. Very nice options. Enjoy it.

Hello iichel.

Thank you very much for accepting me in your community. :)

My Polo TDI does not have start/stop system in it.
I also think that I would need to replace BCM in order to get cornering lights and CH/LH...that's a shame.
I would like to do so many things on my Polo but time is a problem.
Through out the holidays I'm planning on rebuilding subwoofer enclosure at home(my father is a carpenter, so I have access to all the things I need).

Can I ask in general which version of VCDS you use? I have one adapter, but it only supports 12.12. software version. :(

Thank you again for your kindness :)

I know ciclo has an original cable with 15.7.someting. Myself, I am at 12.12 too. It works well with the 6R platform.

12.12 works for 6R.
14.14 for 6C

Thank you for your kind replies. I understand the situation but now, how can I find heat seating pads :D I already have switch buttons 6C and I modified edges to use with 6R ( I bought from aliexpress). Now I need an adress or a link for buying seat heating pads for polo   Where did you buy these parts :?: After your post I found and bought 6R0959772D part from ebay, I hope that it is suitable with polo 6c bcm, but I didn't find seat heating pads yet. In addition, İcchel do you know what is the exact pins (slots) of polo 6c bcm system?
Do not worry  , the control unit 16-pin 6R0959772D for the heated seats is correct, not the 8-pin you mentioned above.

You can find a lot of information at the following link: http://www.uk-polos.net/viewtopic.php?f ... 16#p466570

Regarding heating pads you can buy at the VW dealer, yes, they are very expensive, or also you can search on eBay for a good deal.
There was never a big market for these parts.

Hi tadej.
Welcome to uk-polos.net, thanks to you for choosing this great forum and your introduction. (do not forget to do the same in your new topic)

I think the static cornering light is possible in your 6R (BCM). We need a VCDS autoscan and an image of the fuse box which is beneath the steering wheel (this is essential), so I can tell you exactly what you need to know.

The static cornering lights in your 6R would be through the foglamps, the electrical installation can be in different ways for Polo 6R (like factory).

Once you pass the test of the static cornering lights ... hehe :) ... we talk about automatic lights CH/LH. (many changes are needed in the factory wiring)

Very nice Polo 6R 2010. I like. Happy holidays to you too.

Now to fix...
Instrument illumination button / backlight with T73/4 to T6aa/3 mod (used to work with 7E0 BCM)
Headlight washes (do yours work since disconnecting T17/4?)

coding:
7C B0 2F BF 08 E1 24 00 93 38 0F D1 7C AB 9F F0 DA C0 73 2F 60 8D 30 D0 20 00 00 00 30 80

Yes, it does work perfectly.

- This is not related, the headlamp washer system works with +30 plus two signals, wiper stalk (+15) and T17/11 ON (+30).
- T17/4 only is power supply 56 (from +15) when stalks are 6R0. It isn't needed with stalks 7E0

Please, post the coding in the right way... ... without spaces ...

I use NE-Tech to check the codings. And you?

Excellent application within the VCDS program. Search it.Image

However, and despite of all..., maybe, this be your problem with coding:

So the problem was a mistake from myself. I have re-done the auto-wiring loom and in the process some contacts went loose.
That has caused the headlight washer system not to work. I was very surprises because it was factory equipment.
At the BCM connector, the plastic arount T73b/4 went a little bad from removing and re-inserting the terminal connector.
So it was also a bad loose contact. But that is fixed now. So now the retrofit of the 7E0 BCM and stalks is complete.

Before the stalks and wiring, sometimes the low beam had some problems after high beam had been on.
For example, after high beam flash (pull back), the low beam also went off shortly. Now that is completely fixed.
Bit 18 is coded as '73' HEX.

For checking coding, I have made an excel sheet with all the functions I know and that is also how I code the BCM since there are no labels.
I will investigate the software you suggested for sure.

Thank you very much ciclo for your time. I promise today I will not bother you with my f**k-ups :p
Merry christmas!

Of course. In the front I use these: http://www.dx.com/p/t10-5w-400lm-10-x-s ... n088_nhBaQ (I like them because the light is white and not blue, but perhaps they are too powerful(each LED is 5W)). :)

Hi Ciclo.

Thank you very much for every information I can get from you guys. In such a small country like Slovenia, there are not a lot of Polos and those people who drive them, they don't care about that kind of stuff you guys do here on this forum. :)

I searched a little bit through the forum and I couldn't find how can I do VCDS autoscan? I have the cable which supports 12.12. version of software. Is it ok to do the VCDS autoscan? As soon I will do this, I will also post a picture of the fuse box.

I really appreciate what you guys do here. :)

Have a nice and happy holidays :)
