6C upgrades.

Post by 6cGTI »

Hi guys.

First post as a polo owner. I've got a GTI being delivered at the end of the month. Naturally I've been researching ways to get it over that 200bhp mark as its already very close. At the moment I'm not looking to go any further than stage 1, but I can't seem to find any maps that are available. I see revo are looking for test cars... Has anybody surrendered their car for one of these before??

Thanks in advance!

I fitted a tuning box from DTUK and the car feels insane with it on full boost

Apr have a remap available for them. Your looking at £300 but it should make around 250bhp and 400nm it just gets plugged in through the odb port in the car

The engine in the new polo gti is a gen3 ea888 Tsi engine made by Audi.

Here is a link of an apr remap on that engine however it is actually done on a golf gti on that page. Get in touch with your local apr dealer for more information. Or you can speak to apr's UK headquarters (awesome gti) on: 0161 776 0777

i'm pretty sure they haven't finished the polo map yet as they had only just got it on the rollers before Christmas

I have sent them an email and I'm awaiting a response, as awesome gti told me there was a map out for the car and that it was going to be £300 before Christmas. I will let you know what comes of it

APR also told me that they've finished stage 1 and 2 and expect to release the maps in early January

I got an e mail back today from APR,

"Hi Karl,

We developed the software for the 1.8 TSI Polo on a manual car, as we couldn’t get hold of a DSG vehicle at the time. Stage 1 is handled very capably by the car and transmission.

We don’t believe the 7speed dry DSG in the new polo will have too much trouble, but if it does we can do a low-output file to help.

Regards

Wayne Ainsworth
Operations Manager
APR Tuning UK"

He then went on to say

"Hi Karl,

We only just finished that calibration the week before Christmas.

Im expecting details to be released early January :)

Regards

Wayne Ainsworth
Operations Manager
APR Tuning UK"

So all looks good and it has mostly just confirmed what has been said already

Happy days.

First on my list is a intercooler upgrade once I get some money coming back in lol

Wonder what standard power figure they got with the standard car.

Thanks guys. First of all, I've had the car 3 days now, INCREDIBLE already! I will be checking in with these contacts next week. I will be sure to post back when I've had it done! :)

I got mine around a week ago. Absolutely incredible. I'm looking for a new intake for it if anyone has any suggestions?
