GTI 6C - MPG

Hello People

I have had my polo for over 6 months now. Mileage is at 4500.

Can't seem to get anything above 38 mpg on a long trip over about 200 mile.

What you getting over long trips?

I haven't done a real trip in mine yet but it's happy to get around 43ish on a good run as long as you sit around 65

Yes mine hovers around upper 30s most of the time. Middle 40s most of the time when I owned the previous 1.4 GTI and even got middle 50s on a steady motorway journey back then. No chance of that with this 1.8 unless the winds behind me big time

If you worry about MPG you shouldn't buy a car with a GTI badge.

And at no point try to calculate your awerage MPG during winter... It is allways lower when it's cold out.
