Water Drains and damp inside

Post by rsmagee »

Hi guys,

My Polo 6C is really damp inside, I have to run the air con and recirculate for 5 mins before I can drive due to condensation. Anyone have any suggestions for common entry points for the water? its only a year old so a bit let down to be honest.

Also are there any drains on the polo that get blocked? My mk4 Golf was awful for that

Thanks!

I would suggest taking it back to the dealer. That doesn't sound right at all

I'd check the drivers door seal as mine is letting water into the cabin.

Check under the glovebox. Iv got water leaking from the rubber flap that opens when the heaters are set to recirculate. Got someone coming to check windscreen on Wednesday, if not that VW need it for a week to do tests. Not that impressed with the build quality of the polo at all. Once it's fixed I may be getting rid.

Not seeing anything below the glove box, but worked out turning on the fans makes the condensation so the water is clearly in the air system.

Really let down its a problem at all.
