Cuting out rear bumper.

I was wondering on how you would cut out a bigger gap so i would be able to fit this

So how's it done without it look clumsy or bad ?.

Get a bodyshop todo it or buy a gti rear bumper

It really depends upon your skill level. Forgive me if I'm wrong but the fact you are asking suggests you are not that confident.

Best tackled off the car or on a ramp cutting a larger recess should not be too difficult a job using a jig saw or a small high speed rotary saw. After sanding and filling any imperfections you would probably want to spray of fit a polished metal trim plate. If you are content with the boy racer look a well made metal overplate would mean that any clumsy cutting could be covered up.

The advice to entrust the work to a body shop is sound but probably expensive. Fitting a GTi or Blue GT bumper is probably the best solution but if it needs to be professionally sprayed it would not be a cheap way to achieve your new look.

Best of luck with your project, having the desire to make your car that little bit different is a disease that is difficult to cure, expensive and long term based on my experience.

haha ye man thanks for the answer. You are right im not really that confident on doing it. About that gti bumper is it just a straight swap ?.

Oh looks nice :) Could you find if any ebay or aliexpress or any seller ships this gti bumper to iceland that you could find ?.
