Baker Boy....old at 30? I think not, my 86 year old friend has recently swapped his Lotus Evora for a Porsche Caymen S, says it is more suitable for a pensioner than the 911 Turbo he had a few years back. I have no doubt that even in a similar car few people posting on this forum, myself included would stand any chance of staying with him.

You will find cheaper insurance is only one of the minor advantages of getting older and that doesn't last as the insurers hit you when you pass 80.

Like you say cheap insurance is the only good thing about it. Can insure both cars for around £400 a year.

Knocking on 70. Full time grumpy old git who used to pay 25P for a gallon of five star and drive legally at well over the ton on motorways and major roads.....eat your hearts out you young whippersnappers, cheap largely carefree motoring on roads with much less traffic, those days had a certain attraction if you could keep clear of the drunken drivers.

Fifty two years NCB much to my amazement!
