All fitted, running the wire was a b**** but all working, only thing is now my roof brake light isn't coming on

Great job - well done.
I think you have to check the connections to the brake light. I would test it before and after the rubber muffle in the rear lid - perhaps something has happened there when you put the DAB cable through?

DAB signal isn't bad on the major stations, some smaller ones drop a little but not a major problem i live just outside east london/essex.
yeah i recon it had something to do with that just seems more of a hassle than its worth but paid 160 delivered for the unit thought it was a good deal not to pass.

Thats great news as I live in Essex aswell placed called Canvey Island and travel to work at Lakeside shopping centre

Im going to look today for my current amplifier and go from there

Sorry to sounds daft but... Where do I find the amp?!

Ive removed the RCD510 DAB and found the twin socket for the FM as you can see from the attached picture.

However, my hunt for the amplifier has taken me down dead ends.

Ive had a look on Workshop Manuals but couldnt find it.

Can anyone help?!

So you have the diversity antenna system in your car.
Look here: The antenna amplifier is installed behind the read lid trim

Ive noticed a Fakra connection behind the LHS taillight so im pulling panels off around there.. Am I looking in the wrong place?
