VW Polo GTi 6c Finance Deal?

Post by CJO »

While I'm waiting for my VW Polo GTi to arrive I'm curious as to whether I got a good deal or not.

I've ordered on January 8th with March delivery.

VW Polo GTi 5dr manual
Armrest
Smokers pack
Front Passenger Airbag deactivation
Light & Sight Pack
Winter Pack
Parking Pack
Car-Net App Connect

On 2yrs PCH @ 10,000mpa & 4.44p mileage penalty with +3 of £757.98

£252.66 pcm.

How does that compare?

I had assumed it was a monthly subscription to Malborough?

No no! Haha

Not against smokers just don't smoke in such a luxury vehicle ;)

Few folk I know used to smoke but got out their cars, the winter hit, they no longer smoke!

Result!

Plus if it smells of smoke then it may cost you when you hand it back at the end of the lease, as many people (myself included) don't like cars that have been smoked in.

Very true. My worse experience was an Audi A6 with the Vienna?leather that was so ingrained with smoke that Audi ended up replacing the passenger seat.

Got mine within a week of ordering it.
Manual 5 doors
Pano roof
Electric mirrors
Light and sight
Parking and sensors
Sport pack
Flashy red
Traded my polo 1.2 ( all dealers I visited offered between £2000 to £2200 negative equity but the one I bought the car from made it £1000 after a 3 hour negotiation)

Paid £200 deposit
Came at £273.36 a month on 48 months pcp + full tank of fuel.

I feel I got mugged off

For a PCP and not PCH with £200 against negative equity that's actually very good! Don't forget you get to keep the car if you want where I will need to hand mine back.

Hi there sorry to kinda hijack the thread but I'm looking at getting a 6C GTi tomorrow (Sunday 17th Jan) I currently have an R Line TSI with Bi-xenons, winter pack, armrest. Coming to the end of my 36 month agreement and the car is still like new, and I'm estimating that the value of it will be more than the final optional payment.

Do you think they will give my discount to reflect this?

The finance company VW Finance I assume in this instance will always stick to the GFV however the dealership in question may be inclined to offer you a further discount if they really want your business. Alternatively. Sell it privately and then negotiate with a private leasing company which takes almost all the hassle out of it.
