How to enable MFD features

Post by zking »

My Polo 2015 6C is having a low line display which only displays
Time
Outside temperature
Total Kilometres & trip Kilometres

See the image (left side one) Image

Where as in Highline model (right side one from above image) it shows Engine Temp, Fuel Economy, Distance to Empty, even its shows the Door Opening Display as well.

Does this can be enabled on a Low Line dash display too via any settings? or Do I have to change the full Dash Cluster.

Being a 2015 model, I hope it can be activated via vagcom settings.

I'm fairly certain you'll have to change the entire cluster to realize the premium display

The two displays are completely different.
You need to change the cluster.

What about this

Simple & at a friction of Cluster's cost.

You cannot transform this:

into this:

without changing the entire cluster.

What the aliexpress thing does is mimic the buttons on the right hand side indicator stalk (more like light hand side windscreen washer stalk acutally).\
So you'll have the standard MFA, yes, but not the MFA+ with pixel display and 2 extra analogue dials for water temp and fuel.

First of all sorry for back to back post.

The photo provided by you is showing Fuel economy (6.0l / 100 km). But in mine it is only showing Outside Temprature and that I cannot change.

Hence I started this thread, may be there is a way to enable this minor feature.

If you go to Volkswagen India website, in the Brochure of Trendline (Low line) Model, it is mentioned that Speed Sensing Door locks are not available in this model. Where as my car has this feature and I believe that this was activated by VAS.

Similarly some of the MFD features can be activated.

Also, see the below thread, where as it says by swapping the steering wheel those features can be achieved.

maybe you can upgrade to the small MFD by changing the wiper stalks, but i'm not sure whether it is supported by the cluster.
you'll have digital speed, average speed, current fuel usage, mean fuel usage, distance traveled, temperature and maybe a few other features. on the segmented display that is.

Can this be done through VCDS or VAGCOM??

Hi mate. I’ve the same problem with my Vw polo match 2013. I can’t change the different features on the multifunction display from the outside temperature. Did you end up sorting it out somehow ?
