I tend to go via the Evo and Autoexpress tyre reviews. My intention for when my Polo arrives is to sell the S001 straight away and put some Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric on there. Strike the best balance for all round wear, grip, wet and dry handling and without kicking up a load of road noise. IMHO.

I'm going to see if I can get a set Goodyear eagle f1 gsd3 tyres, as I had them on my previous polo and did grip well.

I don't know how people get more than 10k out of a set of fronts. My new gti has done 4.5k and the fronts have probably got another 2-3k tops on them.

Driving styles and time of year (temperature) are the usual culprits. I always accelerate out of bends. The polo I was behind yesterday clearly accelerated into the bend, through the bend, some frantic braking and out of the bend. ;)

Not tracking mine online but dealer just called to say my build week is currently scheduled for Week 8 but that could change still.

Not too bad considering I ordered on 09/01, hopefully it will be quicker than the 5 month lead time they gave me!

Maybe I'll chill out a bit then, been sitting on build since 11/1, was going to phone dealer later but maybe just slow at the factory just now. Just need the car by the 19th for a bigish local dub meet

19th of Feb I guess? Says on the website that it takes a further two weeks for the car to arrive at the dealer when you get to stage 5

Hi guys, I just got a dtuk box for my polo yesterday. It claimes 240 ps and 400nm of tourqe. I can honestly bleave it too. I'm currently on setting one +2. Has anyone got one, and what setting do you recommend?

I haven't played around with the settings too much due to the weather, have kept it on setting one. However last night I did go for setting one +3 and that was insane. I think one+2 would be a good setting for everyday use.

However, if you are racing for whatever reason - stick the box on the third setting, when the boost kicks in at 45-50k it flies. I just find it too high in the rev count for every day usage.

I know Andrew (dtuk) quite well. he is a sound fellA. Proper petrol head and actually cares about the products he sells.

Check out his wife's business....juicy detailing.
